What to Expect (Normal Characteristics)
These details are part of the design and may vary from frame to frame:

Subtle colour variation
Slight differences in gold tone or shading across the moulding. -
Patina & speckling
Fine specks, freckles or cloudy areas created by the antiquing process. -
Brush & leafing marks
Faint lines or overlaps from hand-finishing/leafing visible at certain angles. -
Edge burnishing
Deliberately darkened/highlighted edges and corners to give a gently worn look. -
Minor surface texture
Tiny pits, indents or ripple-like texture on the surface—cosmetic only. -
Corner joins
Neat mitre joins with light variation around seams due to the finish. -
Micro-scratches
Hairline marks that appear under strong light; typical of the antique effect.
All of the above are cosmetic and do not affect the frame’s structure or durability.
What Is Not Considered a Defect
