Joanne Barnes is an accomplished artist from Perth, Western Australia with a passion for painting seascapes and capturing the calm and quiet beauty of water. She draws inspiration from places around her, the images she sees on television as well as from her imagination. She paints in a relaxed way whether it be free flowing, abstract or more realistic.

Artistry has been an inseparable facet of her existence since an early age, blossoming at the age of five. With a foundation in graphic design, she has navigated a professional journey through diverse print companies, eventually charting her own course by establishing a successful design enterprise when her children were young.

Creativity brings her so much peace and joy in a busy household of three teenagers, three dogs, three cats and her husband of 18 years. The most rewarding aspect of her artist journey is knowing that her artwork is hanging in people’s homes where they get to love and admire it everyday.
