For Lindy, creativity has always been a way of life. A self-taught artist, wife, mother of two and lifelong creative, she made the decision three years ago to leave her role as a Payroll Officer and pursue art full-time. Today, alongside her own studio practice, Lindy works at Yellowhouse Art in Wagga Wagga, where she teaches art classes and helps curate the gallery space. Surrounded by creativity every day, she continues to embrace new ideas, materials and techniques, allowing each day in the studio to unfold organically.

Working intuitively, Lindy creates vibrant abstract paintings that celebrate colour, texture and spontaneity. Her practice is driven by experimentation, often combining mixed media, expressive mark-making, Gelli plate printing and collage to build richly layered compositions. Rather than beginning with a fixed plan, she allows each artwork to evolve naturally, trusting the creative process to lead the way.

Inspiration comes from many corners of everyday life, memories of travel, life on the farm, fashion, colour palettes, and the creative energy of working in a gallery alongside other artists. She delights in seeing artistic potential in unexpected places, constantly exploring new ways to transform ordinary materials and moments into expressive works of art.

A longtime admirer of Australian artist Ken Done, Lindy embraces his fearless approach to colour and his belief that creativity should be joyful and unconstrained. She is also inspired by initiatives such as the Incognito Art Show and the Affordable Art Fair, which celebrate inclusivity and make original art accessible to a wider audience.

Above all, Lindy's work is about creating joy. Through bold colours, playful compositions and an intuitive approach, she hopes each painting brings a sense of happiness and optimism into the lives of collectors, allowing them to experience the same delight she feels while creating it.
