For Vasily Kulchenko, art has been a lifelong pursuit shaped by both classical training and a deep curiosity to explore beyond tradition. From an early age, he studied drawing, composition, colour theory and landscape painting at art school, developing a strong academic foundation while simultaneously experimenting with his own creative ideas. This balance between discipline and exploration became the cornerstone of a distinctive artistic style that continues to evolve today.

Inspired by the Impressionists, particularly Claude Monet, and the geometric language of Cubism, Vasily's work brings together the atmospheric beauty of traditional landscape painting with a contemporary approach to form and composition.
