Green Dancing Bora Rings, Style A
This piece tells the story of the magical and protected bora rings that exist across this country in places sacred to my ancestors. My people would gather to celebrate culture, conduct tribal ceremonies, and meet and trade with other tribes. These celebrations would last for days, filled with storytelling, dancing, and singing. These bora rings celebrate our culture, the world's longest continuing living culture.
As a proud Mayi woman from North Western Queensland, I want to share my love of art and my interpretation of female empowerment. I want to share this piece with love and harmony.
