Leanne Daquino

Leanne is self-taught mixed media artist from Melbourne, Australia, who rediscovered her passion for all things creative only a couple of years ago. For the last twenty five years, Leanne has been working as a teacher and more recently as a Deputy Principal in a beautiful primary school.

Leanne comes from a long line of gardeners which has inspired an appreciation for the beauty of flowers and gardens. The colours, the patterns, the impact they make on mass. Describing her practice as "gardening with a paint brush", Leanne says she "loves that flowers can have such a positive and emotional effect on us. That we all seem to have a favourite flower and that flowers and gardens can remind us of our favourite people and our favourite adventures. 

Leanne hopes that her gardens brings joy and that you see a flower or colour or shape that reminds you of someone you love, or of a special place or time in your life.
